EnChanted
Reunited after an eleven year hiatus Alyx Autuori and Kiranjot Kaur’s new project EnChanted fuses devotional mantras and original songs. Both founding members of the vocal trio Copper Wimmin have been singing together since they were 12 years old. They were featured on Amy Goodmans NPR program Democracy Now and their song Bleeding Rivers was on the Showtime television series The L Word, they were also the recipient of the Isadora Duncan Dance award for best musical score. Now back together with their spellbinding vocal harmonies, EnChanted is not just a listening experience, it is a communal meditation in which the distinction between audience and performer is dissolved.

We will be incorporating a wide range of subtle Sound Healing techniques from the Institute to activate each chakra and massage your etheric fields. We will be holding an Intention of Love and Joy throughout the evening to create a delightful, enchanting, interactive, transformational experience.

“The last event was unbelievably powerful with 6 singers — each channeling deep and beautiful energies through their voices. We went from beautiful angelic melodies that brought sweet tears to many eyes, to powerfully transformative movements that seemed to release deep stuck energy from the past. The piano, guitar, native american flute and cello sometimes supported the healing and enlightening work, and other times actually led it. However, when everyone came together in the Chakra Journey, Unconditional Love and Pachelbel Canon songs, it was like bringing love into a power. And then when it all ended, no one moved for about 15 minutes. It was like we were all in this deep ecstatic peace that wasn’t going to go away. No one wanted to leave!”

This will be a sacred event celebrating the love all around us.
It is designed to help us all to move into the higher frequencies of
joy, love, gratitude and appreciation.

Drummunity!” Ritual Drumming.
Kim presents and facilitates Drummunity at the Sebastopol Community Center 390 Morris St., Sebastopol.Drummunity is a prayerful drumcircle, a chance to hold and offer our highest aspirations for a peaceful, loving, harmonious, free and prosperous planet. I draw on my years of experience teaching music, playing for Brazilian Umbanda Shamanic Rituals, and studies with master musicians, dancers, teachers and healers from around the world to create a new experience in drum circles. We use our instruments and bodies to amplify and project our internal peace and understanding. We play by heart and follow in-spir-ation ( taking in the spirit ). Everyone is invited to drum, the only prerequisites is listening! You do not even need to play to get the benefit!!! This event is not a drum class or open drum circle, it is a healing ceremony. I request that everyone arrive by 7:50 and stay until the session is over at 9:30. This is for your benefit and to respect others that are holding the space. The first 20 minutes are Drum Call – open drumming that anyone can start as we all get situated and latecomers arrive. $15- $10 sliding scale .
This 2-hr session is based on the drumcircle format of playing, with the addition of silence, intention, visualization and focus, and on occasion, discussion after the event to help everyone understand the dynamics of ritual. I sometimes introduce rhythms; other times follow someone else. We play some circle and call and response-conversation games, sometimes get up and move while playing, play with eyes open, sometimes stop and start again on my signal. I always introduce an easy rhythm in 3, 5, 7 or 9, as well as the common 4. You are welcome to bring conga, djembe, dun dun, surdo, gongs, and all manner of other percussion. This event happens in a large room offering us the possibility of larger volume and movement. Please refrain from “normal” conversations once we create the circle and start the ritual. You are welcome to use your voice in a non-talking manner. Join us in holding space for peace, freedom and unity.
  • This event is alcohol free and not suitable for young children. For special situations, call me at 707 823 8885
