Waldorf Inspired Public High School, 2013 to 2024 Kim taught World Percussion at one of the country’s only Waldorf Inspired, College Prep, Sustainably Oriented Public High Schools – Credo High School in Rohnert Park CA.
Petaluma healing concert, 2023 Kim was invited to perform a duo with Curandero Sonido de Peru Tito la Rosa. I played the cajon, a national instrument of Peru, and he played charango. Tito is a lineage holder of ancient traditions and I have studied with him on many occasions.
Saint Francis Hotel in San Francisco, Kim played with renown Sound Healers Rene Jenkins, Janay Cipriani at this esteemed venue, honoring renown visionaries Michael Harner and Angeles Arrien.
California Brazil Camp and elsewhere, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 Kim accompanied master teacher Roseangela Silvestre of Bahia, Brazil in several workshops including Orixa’s dance movement and Silvestre Technique.
International Sound Healing Conference, Santa Fe New Mexico, 2006, 2007, 2008 Kim accompanied singers and presented his rhythm work at this four day gathering of the most prominent researchers and practitioners in the field.
Guinness World Record, 2004 I was a co facilitator with world famous drummers Micky Hart, Zakir Hussain, Karl Perazo, Airto Moreira and several others at the world largest drum circle for peace, held at the Earth Dance festival at Black Oak Ranch north of Ukiah. This is a Guinness World Record for its time, 4374 drummers.

San Francisco Financial District, September 2004 Kim and Carnaval Sprit Drummers and Dancers paraded through 3 floors of the new McCann World Group headquarters in an opening ceremony and energetic cleansing of the new workspace of one of California’s largest businesses.

Sonoma Valley grammar schools, 2004 to 2008 Kim taught body rhythm and percussion at 5 schools. The classes were a great success and selected 4th grade students performed for the entire school district at their annual spring concert of all the school bands. Their groove and rhythmic accuracy astounded the community.
International Association for the Study of Dreams, 2007 Kim and Jeffery Edelheit created and presented “Sounding the Spirit of the the Dream”, a drum and gong participatory evening for 80 people at their 24th Annual Conference, held at Sonoma State University Rohnert Park CA.
EarthDance Festival, September 2004 Kim performed with Micky Hart and Planet Drum facilitating over 4500 drummers in the worlds largest drum circle for world peace at the annual Earthdance Festival, held simultaneously in several cities around the world and simulcast on the world wide web.
Percussive Art Society International Convention, 2002 Kim facilitated drum circles at this major event.
Lazer Percussion Orchestra, December 2001 Kim MCd and facilitated drumming at a free outdoor public gathering in the town square of Sebastopol CA. The evening featured multiple lazer projections by Cherry Optical, Lazer Dreams and friends, Gongs by Nancy, fire pits and a drum circle. The entire event was offered as a prayer for World Peace and Unity.
Day of the Dead, November 2001 Kim and his new project ” Drummunity” presented their first public ritual honoring our revered ancestors, as well as all victims of terrorism.

Dance Theater of the Orisha, 1998 Kim and Carnaval Spirit with Anastasia Fischer debuted their original theater piece, a stage show of Afro Brazilian religious traditions with original music, choreography and costumes.

Wakiki Shell, Honolulu HI, 1997 Kim graduated from Arthur Hull’s Village Music Circles Drum Circle Facilitators training in Hawaii, and was one of a few students selected to lead a public drum circle at the Wakiki Shell in Honolulu. I was called a master of drum circle facilitation by my teacher after that.

Olympics 1996 Kim worked with Micky Hart, Zakir Hussein, Giovanni Hidalgo and others in recording music for the opening ceremonies of the 100th Olympics, broadcast world wide to over 3.5 billion viewers.
5 star review 1996 Kim released an instructional video on an obscure Afro Cuban rhythm I learned directly from its creator in my trip to Cuba in 1985. I received a rare 5 star review in Modern Drummer Magazine for my efforts.
Drummers of Burundi, 1995 Kim and dance partner Anastasia Fischer, with our company Carnaval Spirit, opened for the world famous Drummers of Burundi at the LBC theater in Santa Rosa.
