I’ve been teaching drumming since 1976 and am constantly doing classes and workshops both in California and around the country. I teach a variety of groups of people ranging from Youth-at-Risk, to leading drum circles at festivals and large corporate events, to working with seriously committed musicians. I enjoy working with both the hobbyist and the professional, and can tailor my approach to address individual and group needs.
If you are interested in booking me for a workshop in your area please contact me.
Although after years of full-time teaching it is difficult to recall the number of classes I’ve taught, below is a brief list of a few of the types of teaching experiences I have had.

We spread respect, esprit de corps and enthusiasm through the school. I did a similar program in 1998 at an elementary school in Stockton CA with Hmong, Pakistani, Black, Asian and Latino kids.
California Brazil Camp 2001, 2002, 2003. I’m honored and pleased to be included in the line up of master artists teaching at Brazil Camp in Northern California. I’ve taught stick and hand technique, introduction to Brazilian percussion and Beginning Bateria at this singular event.
